In the mean time, the Ministry of Economic Affairs(MOEA) set up the Southern Taiwan Innovation & Research Park(STIR) in An-Nan, Tainan and ITRI South is authorized to have the liberty of operation. Thus, in general, the research works carrying on these two sites are covered under ITRI South’s activities.
