ITRI South, the newest Liuo-Jia campus of ITRI located in northern part of Tainan City, was established in October 2005. This new site is stretched about 50 hectares and sits right next to the scenic Wushantou Reservoir. In the mean time, the Ministry of Economic Affairs(MOEA) set up the Southern Taiwan Innovation & Research Park(STIR) in An-Nan, Tainan and ITRI South is authorized to have the liberty of operation. Thus, in general, the research works carrying on these two sites are covered under ITRI South’s activities.
